As mentioned on the front page, these images where made for B/W at low resolution - 72dpi 2400x900mm size. They worked very well in the bitmap B/W scatter conversion. It was only when re-opening these files recently that I discovered the original colour. It's a freal bummer the Epson prints are so costly. I can only afford to run out one of these prints. Which one?
The Tulip
There has been serious effort in rebuilding the Prehistoric rig lately. Two new prototype concepts, The Tulip or Bell or Flower or whatever. You choose. It's a trumpet stype speaker with an 18" Goodman Audiom driver. These drivers are deep and cannot be run to hard so it works well for the mid - low range. Really sings the blues.
The Vent
The speaker was initially straight forward leaning, but I adjusted the base on my "artisan" kitchen table (made with a hand saw) to give it an angle (sere above picture). The second effort is a really low frequency piece, a coil vent, seashell or spiral. You choose. I inserted a Celestion 15" powercel and, - my!!! The construction turns out to be way too weak for the speaker. It sounds beautiful, but Im afraid to shred the floorboards off it's hinges. Keep you posted.
