A symphonic quarrel, an electro-acoustic sound clash and a race to the bottom.
Infinite Argument is a generative sound installation / composition based on the dynamics of confrontational behavior. The composition explores the regressive and exhausting nature of confrontation by simulating a call and respond pattern across 32 non- verbal instruments.

The project springs out of observations made while living in New York during Obama’s first term. The news media focused heavily on growing unemployment, overburdened infrastructure and big economic divides. People’s compassion and communities’ sense of unity was put under great stress. The need to ease the pressure, point fingers and make ones mark became the new norm - a Darwinian “must” to secure one’s future.

It is the absurd and regressive nature of this behavior that is the focus of this installation. It is the Infinite Argument, a symphonic quarrel and a race to the bottom.
